Lake County’s Olympus development to get more apartments

Aug 2, 2022

A development that would bring 328 apartments to land just north of the Olympus Sports and Entertainment mixed-use project has entered the pipeline in Clermont.

A rezoning of 27.5 acres at the southeast corner of the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Schofield Road will be sought Aug. 2 from Clermont’s planning and zoning commission. Orlando-based engineering firm Poulos & Bennett’s Lance Bennett is the applicant for the request to rezone the land from urban transition to planned unit development.

An early rendering depicts four-story apartment buildings with a maximum height of 60 feet.

The land is part of a larger 52-acre parcel bisected by North Bradshaw Road and about a half-mile north of Olympus Boulevard. That road will become a main artery of the 243-acre Olympus project, which will host a mix of residential, sports venues, retail and medical uses.
